MATTHEW 28:16-20
THE GREAT COMMISSION 16 The eleven disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped, but some doubted. 18 Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”[1]
MARK 16:19-20 THE ASCENSION 19 So the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
LUKE 24:44-49 44 He told them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
THE ASCENSION OF JESUS 50 Then he led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
ACTS 1:3-12 3 After he had suffered, he also presented himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. THE HOLY SPIRIT PROMISED 4 While he was with them, he commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. “Which,” he said, “you have heard me speak about; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit in a few days.”
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
THE ASCENSION 9 After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
UNITED IN PRAYER 12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near Jerusalem—a Sabbath day’s journey away.[8] ACTS 2:1-4 2 When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. 3 They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and rested on each one of them. 4 Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.[9]
1 Corinthians 15:3-7 3 For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. 6 Then he appeared to over five hundred brothers and sisters at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one born at the wrong time, he also appeared to me.[10]

MATTHEW 28:16-20 16 The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them.
MARK 16:15-18 15 Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
JOHN 21:15-25 JESUS’ THREEFOLD RESTORATION OF PETER 15 When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agape – unconditionally) me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said to him, “you know that I love (Phileo love – He knew that is what he already displayed) you.”
Peter was grieved that he asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love (Phileo love) you.” “Feed my sheep, (mature believers - disciple)” Jesus said.
18 “Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you would tie your belt and walk wherever you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will tie you and carry you where you don’t want to go.”
CORRECTING A FALSE REPORT 20 So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?” 22 “If I want him to remain until I come,” Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow me.”
EPILOGUE 24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
1 Corinthians 15:1-7 1 Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel I preached to you, which you received, on which you have taken your stand 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold to the message I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 3 For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. 6 Then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time; most of them are still alive, but some have fallen asleep.
