Luke 1:50-55 - 50 His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him. 51 He has done a mighty deed with his arm; he has scattered the proud because of the thoughts of their hearts; 52 he has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly. 53 He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy 55 to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he spoke to our ancestors.
Reflection: Joy - Great Pleasure! Can you recall a time when God did something miraculous in your life? Perhaps created a way when there was no way.....or provided for you in a way you couldn't explain? Have you read, seen, or heard how God provided for others in the past? There is great pleasure when these events are recalled! It refreshes and renews us when we are reminded of these times. The alacrity and joy are contagious as we are encouraged by the outcomes that can only be explained supernaturally! Because of the past, we now have confidence in knowing that our Heavenly Father is still in control. Yes, still in control.....
God the Comforter, God the Healer, God the Provider, God the Miracle Worker -- Since God is the same today as He was yesterday, we can be encouraged that He will continue to care for us just like He did for us, and others, in the past. If God is for us, who can stand against us? I hope you will find joy today as you remember who God is and what He has done for you!

Prayer: Father, thank You for being real in our lives. Thank You for using the past to give me confidence to trust You more. Please open my eyes to see that specific someone that needs this encouragement today. We love You. In Jesus' name... Amen
